Version française

Claudie Poinsard lives and works in Cagnes sur Mer since 1977. Born between two cultures, France and Cameroon, she exhibits on the international scene a painted work started by installations and performances.

 From his paintings emerge erratic characters, solitary and dumb, stuck in the canvas as in the fabric of their existence. The image of their body, melted in the material or figured in the line, reveals its emptiness.

His main lines of work cover the modernity of the time: the question of roots, the culture of waste, the cult of beauty and more recently « human loneliness ».
